Giovanni Lo Storto

Born in 1970.
Graduated in Economics at Luiss Guido Carli University, he served in the Italian Army as official within the administrative body, in Bartolini as Unit Operation Manager and worked in Unione Italiana di Riassicurazione and SwissRE Italia as a manager in the CEO’s staff.
He is Director of Pirelli & C. S.p.A., of Banca Mediolanum S.p.A. and of Italian – Lybian Chamber of Commerce. He serves as Dean of the FS Group School and as Senior Advisor to the Corporate University of Ferrovie dello Stato Italiane Group. He also collaborates with Green Utility, an organization engaged in the domains of energy transition and sustainability.
He has gained extensive experience in the fields of education, governance, and innovation, holding senior leadership roles such as General Manager of the Luiss Guido Carli University and Luiss Business School, as well as co-founder of the startup accelerator LuissEnlabs. He also promoted the first Italian chapter of the 42 coding school, contributing to the dissemination of innovative educational models.
He has also served as a member of various boards of directors in the industrial and financial sectors, including doValue S.p.A. and LA4G, and has also held institutional roles in the cultural field such as with Fondazione Mediterraneo, Italia Sociale, and the journal Internazionale and the journal Formiche, and the news agency Askanews
He is author of articles and essays, including Etica Digitale and EroStudente, in which he advances the model of “life largelearning”: a broad and pragmatic approach to learning, focused on experience, action and resposability. He has also edited the Italian edtions of works such as Jugaad Innovation and Frugal Innovation.
