Solid partnerships to better serve our customers
The Pirelli range includes high technology, high performance, high safety tyres for cars, moto and bicycles. In addition, Pirelli was the first company to integrate information from the tyres into a vehicle’s electronics: the Cyber™ Tyre, a hardware and software system that, through sensors, collects and processes information through internally developed algorithms. The data can be used by car control systems, such as ABS, ESP and traction control, to provide a drive that is safer, higher performing and more efficient.
Pirelli also continues, on the one hand, to invest in Research & Development to increase the use of materials that are of natural origin or recycled and, on the other, see that materials from third parties are certified in terms of their origin, trackability and utilization.
In 2021, in fact, the company began its journey towards the manufacture of tyres containing FSC™ - Forest Stewardship Council™-certified natural rubber1 and, by the end of 2026, use only FSC™-certified natural rubber in all its European factories2.
Since March 2022, at its modernized Milano-Bollate plant, Pirelli has been producing cycling tyres, the only factory to produce “Made in Italy “bicycle tyres on an industrial scale. The plant is, in fact, dedicated to the production of tyres of high technological content, for both amateurs and professional riders.
Attention to the client begins in the product development phase. For High Value products, that takes place through consolidated partnerships with the most prestigious Car and Motorcycle makers, and in the Cycling world with the principle cycling teams of the high UCI categories. These collaborations allow Pirelli to develop tyres that match the characteristics of the cars for which they are designed, made-to-measure solutions able to satisfy the specific needs of the most demanding consumers.
